Recreation Centre Update

Prospect Road is one-step closer to getting its much-anticipated community centre. Councillor Reg Rankin and some members of the Prospect Road Community Centre Steering Committee unveiled a sign that designates the future site of the facility.

It will be located on a 15-acre parcel of HRM-owned land between the Prospect Road Elementary School and the Hatchet Lake Fire Hall.  Helping to mark this milestone are (from left): Lindsay Rice, Barb Allen, Rhonda Dea, Sylvia Carleton, Kelly Morrissey, Susan Batchilder, Reg Rankin.  Missing are steering committee members: Lorraine Barrette, Dave MacDonald, Lisa Mullin and Julia Watt.
