Terence Bay Wind Farm Moving Forward - thechronicleherald.ca/

Plans for a Terence Bay wind farm are spinning forward.

Chebucto Terence Bay Wind Field Inc., in partnership with Renewable Energy Services Ltd., are looking to build a wind farm on a 30-hectare lot off River Road. Deal Excavating Services Ltd. owns the land.

In April, Chebucto Terence Bay Wind Field and Renewable Energy Services received approval for a six-megawatt project under the community feed-in tariff program, which is one step in the process.

“There are still a number of things that need to be done, including the environmental assessments and other requirements,” said Terry Norman, president of Chebucto Terence Bay Wind Field.

“We need to put up a meteorological tower to test the wind, so there is quite a bit that we have to do yet.”

The project would most likely include three turbines generating two megawatts each, “but we haven’t decided on what type they will be,” Norman said.....
