Employment Opportunity: Part-Time Before and After School Instructor

PRCC is looking for a Part-Time Before and After School Instructor

This opportunity requires knowledge of various introductory level recreation programs (i.e., games, sports, crafts, etc.) and ability to lead/teach activities in a Before & After school Program. Previous experience working with children 5 – 12 years old, as well as program planning and leadership experience is required. Ability to adapt activities to meet all participants needs. Good customer service skills.

  • Salary: $10.15/hour
  • Location: PRCC
  • Start date: Aug 27th 2012 to June 28th 2013
  • Hours: 7:30 to 9am and 2:30-6pm Monday to Friday
  • Wage: $10.15/hr

Basic Qualifications:

Requires knowledge of various introductory level recreation programs (i.e., games, sports, crafts, etc.) and ability to lead/teach activities in a Before & After school Program. Previous experience working with children 5 – 12 years old, as well as program planning and leadership experience is required. Ability to adapt activities to meet all participants needs. Good customer service skills.

Current First Aid and CPR Certification, or willingness to attain. Screening through the Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check.

Personal Attributes: Energetic, friendly and outgoing.

The ROC is a grassroots, community volunteer organization that has been in existence since 1998. Originally established as the Terence Bay and Area C@P Site, the organization transformed into the Resource Opportunities Centre, Community Development Association Serving the Prospect Road Area in 2002.

The ROC maintains its connection with C@P (Community Access Program) by providing free computer and WIFI Access at both the Terence Bay Site and at the new Prospect Road Community Centre.
